If we DID prepare the tax return being audited, we will provide you with a 1-hour audit consultation at no charge. There-after, we will charge $80/hour for audit representation and support.
If we did NOT prepare the tax return being audited, we will meet with you at our offices to review your audit letter and provide initial recommendations on what you need to do to prepare for the audit.
Our fee for a 60-minute Initial Audit Meeting is $200. (This fee does not apply if Pacific Northwest Tax Service prepared the return under audit)
If you would like us to help you prepare for your audit, our consultation and preparation fees are $200/hour. (The rate is $150/hr if Pacific Northwest Tax Service prepared the return under audit.)
Bookkeeping fees are $85 per hour.
If you would like us to represent you for the audit, our fee is $200/hour.
The average length of an IRS audit is 2-3 hours. The average amount of time it takes us to prepare for an audit varies according to the complexity of the audit and how organized your tax records are.
